JoynOne — Japan’s #1 Welcome Service for Foreigners
JoynOne is your all-in-one helper for anyone who wants to start a new life in Japan — whether for a few months or many years.
We take care of everything you need to settle in: housing, banking, phone setup, insurance, utilities, and all essential paperwork.
About the JoynOne Startup Track
Japan’s Startup Visa route is for people who want to come to Japan to prepare and launch a real business. It typically starts with a short-term entrepreneur status (often 6–12 months) where you work toward clear startup milestones so you can progress to a longer-term business route.
The JoynOne Startup Track supports what most founders struggle with: confirming if this route is realistic, preparing a Japan-ready business plan and documents, navigating the programme timeline, and handling practical life setup while you build (housing, phone, insurance, city hall, banking guidance).
If your goal is to start a business in Japan and build a long-term life here, we make the path structured, guided, and doable.

Who Can Join?
To take part in the JoynOne Startup Programme (Startup Visa track), you need to be eligible for Japan’s Start-up visa route and be able to meet the practical requirements during your preparation period in Japan.
Below is a general summary of the usual conditions. Exact rules can change, so always double-check the latest information on:
- Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA)
Immigration Services Agency of Japan (ISA)
You must be able to cover your accommodation and living costs in Japan during the Startup Visa period.
Common evidence includes:
- Bank balance certificates and/or proof of income/sponsor support
(The exact documents and amounts depend on your case and the official instructions you receive.)
You need to have a planned address/accommodation arrangement for roughly one year.
This usually means:
- A housing plan you can explain clearly (where you will live, how long, and how it will be paid)
- Documents that support the plan (depending on the stage, this may be a booking/contract or a written plan + proof of funds)
You must be able to submit a Startup Preparation Plan (sometimes called a Business Preparation Plan).
Typical expectations:
- Clear business concept and target market
- What you will do during the preparation period (timeline and milestones)
- Budget plan and how you will support yourself
- Steps toward becoming fully “Business Manager-ready”
The Startup Visa period is meant to prepare you to qualify for the Business Manager status later.
You should be on track to meet those requirements, including:
- Securing an office
- Having sufficient capital/funding (e.g., ¥30m as your target)
- Hiring at least 1 full-time staff member
(Exact Business Manager requirements and how they are assessed can vary by case, so follow the latest official guidance.)

Our Startup Programme supports you before arrival, upon arrival, and after arrival to help you build your startup with a clear plan and structured paperwork support.
Does JoynOne guarantee visa approval?
